The title, All that Glitterz, came to me last year toward the end of our 2023-2024 season. Ironically, the famous saying has been foundational in our experiences this past year as individuals, as a group, and in our past experiences. The choice to center marginalized identities generated from the mission and demographics of members. More often than not, we have found our identities are celebrated yet dehumanized consistently. Therefore, we took our shared and varying experiences to tell parts of a greater story. This show is extra special to me as this will be my first company production since being in remission from cancer. I dedicate this show to Black women, Black men, people of color, the queer community, and anyone else that has not been fully seen.

Early on in the process of forming the concept of All That Glitterz, I knew that I held a deep responsibility in forming and executing important stories, emotions, and shared experiences. All That Glitterz has been more than simply putting choreography and dancers on a stage for onlookers to view. It has been a process of learning and unlearning, connecting and reclaiming, and being fully present and vulnerable. I am humbled and honored to share this experience with fellow company members and present these stories through movement.
