KLJ Movement's dance production titled, NEXUS: There's Always Room. The dance works transformed beautifully over the past 5 months, starting as a concept of disconnection, and realizing the importance of amplifying connection in the contemporary time. NEXUS is a direct reflection of the shared experiences of Madalin Berube, Terrianna Bradley, Nathan Castro, Janessa Drainville, Aczareyen Lyles and me.

The music selection presented has been carefully studied to relate to the overall message of the show. In addition, movement has been inspired by a motif’s, environment, shared experiences, and based in modern/contemporary dance foundations.

As the executive director, I would like to deeply thank my company members for their support, as in March I found out I had ovarian cancer. This show would not be possible if they were not showing up physically, mentally, and emotionally for me and for the company. Although I am not able to share dance space with them, I am proud to witness their greatness. They have spent hours in and outside the dance space connecting to the works, the music, and one another. Each dancer you see brings something special to movement, and I wanted to highlight their talents while assisting in their growth. I hope you can see yourself in each one of these marvelous dancers, because there is always room for connection.
